Typical Tim Burton ... the characters are extraordinary but believable. The father, a traveling salesman, and his son travel a road of discovery from his deathbed in flashback and "here and now" format. The stories are interlinked and come to a grand finale which not only surprises but literally brings you to tears. Alber Finney as the arrogant story teller with the southern drawl and Ewan McGregor as the young Edward Bloom dominate most of the movie, but Helena Bonham Carter in a double support role is still my favorite. "watch out for the witch!" Enjoy:
